If you haven’t pick up Born on Flag Day, the sophomore album from Deer Tick, it’s hight time you checked out their brand of badass grunge-country.  John McCauley was nice enough to answer a few questions for me back in June following their show at the Pageant, where they opened for Jenny Lewis.  He’s got one hell of a howl and it’s hard to listen to anything else once you put their record on.  Deer Tick has already shared the opening track, “Easy“ from their record and now their continuing that giving spirit by sharing, “Smith Hill” – my personal favorite.  Take a listen and check out the Laundromatinee Session they just did with My Old Kentucky Blog.  Watch their interview with Pentagon TV and grab the “Smith Hill” MP3 below:
